William John Clifton "Bill" Haley (/ˈheɪliː/; July 6, 1925 – February 9, 1981) was an American rock and roll musician. He is credited by many with first popularizing this form of music in the early 1950s with his group Bill Haley & His Comets and million-selling hits such as "Rock Around the Clock", "See You Later, Alligator", "Shake, Rattle and Roll", "Rocket 88", "Skinny Minnie", and "Razzle Dazzle". He has sold over 25 million records worldwide.
Bill Haley was born July 6, 1925 in Highland Park, Michigan, as William John Clifton Haley. In 1929 the four-year-old Haley underwent an inner-ear mastoid operation which accidentally severed an optic nerve, leaving him blind in his left eye for the rest of his life. As a result of the effects of the Great Depression on the Detroit area, his father moved the family to Boothwyn, near Chester, Pennsylvania, when Bill was seven years old. Haley's father William Albert Haley was from Kentucky and played the banjo and mandolin, and his mother, Maude Green, who was originally from Ulverston in Cumbria, England, was a technically accomplished keyboardist with classical training. Haley told the story that when he made a simulated guitar out of cardboard, his parents bought him a real one.
Molly Hatchet is an American Southern rock/hard rock band that formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1975. The band is perhaps best known for their hit song "Flirtin' with Disaster" from the album of the same title. The band was founded by Dave Hlubek & Steve Holland

This album consists of some of the very best tracks by Bill Haley and the Comets, and they are mid-60s re-recordings - Give them a try, I like them even better than the original 50's recordings, these songs here sound completely like 50s songs, but have a very special atmosphere! I also could have uploaded all the same 50s versions you will find already ELSEWHERE, but I didn't, because I like these here better. Tracklist: 1. Rock Around The Clock 2. Shake, Rattle and Roll 3. Rip It Up 4. Hambone 5. Skokiaan 6. Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On 7. Razzle Dazzle 8. Caravan 9. Justine 10. Mohair Sam 11. ABC Boogie 12. The Saints Rock & Roll 13. Land of a Thousand Dances 14. Is it time to accept
Is it time to smile and rest
Is that all there is
Is it time to believe
In a theory of destinies
If it's true that the end
is nothing but
"this"
I trust it
Time to say "I'm only human"
You think it might be too late
But it's never even been time
Realize now that the ice
is meant to melt
And no one feels sorry
For the good times
Is it time to accept
Shall we smile and rest
Is it meant to be like this
If it's meant to be like this
